Dear patients & visitors,
The situation is rapidly changing when it comes to the Coronavirus COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) and it's forcing us to constantly adapt. Following the recommendations received from the ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine), the French Agency of Biomedicine and the ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology), the Fertilys team has decided on the following:
- Consultations with doctors will be maintained but they will be carried out by telephone.
- Exploratory fertility analyses (spermograms, ovarian reserves and hysterosalpingosonography) will be suspended for the time being;
- IVF cycles and intra-uterine insemination cycles currently in progress will be cancelled for the time being
- We will no longer start new insemination cycles, IVF cycles or frozen embryo transfer cycles until the situation becomes clearer regarding the evolution of the pandemic
- Viability ultrasounds as well as prenatal screening appointments will be maintained.
We remind all our patients coming to the clinic that in order to prevent the transmission of Coronavirus COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) we thank you for:
- Using the antiseptic solutions made available to you, minimally, on your arrival and departure from the clinic.
- Limiting the number of people accompanying you to the strict minimum and knowing that they can no longer accompany you inside the ultrasound rooms.
In addition, we only welcome at the clinic:
- People who have not returned from a trip outside Canada for less than 14 days;
- People who have not been in close contact (less than 1 meter) with a person who has been diagnosed with a probable or confirmed case of COVID-19;
- People who have not been in close contact with a person with an upper respiratory infection who had visited an affected area within 14 days of the onset of the disease;
- People who do not have symptoms of fever (> 38C), cough, or difficulty breathing.
