When the insured person within the meaning of the Health Insurance Act (LAM) submits a written request to the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) within one year of the date of payment and when the RAMQ is notification that payment has been demanded contrary to this law, it shall reimburse the insured person for the sum thus paid. (sections 22.0.1, 22.0.0.1, LAM)
An insured person from whom payment is demanded contrary to the provisions of Section 22.0.1 of the Health Insurance Act has the right to claim its reimbursement from the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ).
Please note that Fertilys only includes doctors who do not participate in the Quebec health insurance plan. As such, doctors practicing at Fertilys cannot claim payment of their fees from the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec. Therefore, it is the patients who directly pay the cost of all the services provided to them. Patients cannot request or obtain reimbursement from the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec for the cost of insured services that they have paid at the Fertilys centre.
This notice is given in accordance with the Health Insurance Act (chapter A-29) and the regulations.
